SPRING FORTH: Upcoming “Birding For A Song” Field Trips

1. Mt. Diablo State Park, Walnut Creek area, Sat., 4/16/11, 9 am - 3 pm; target bird highlights include many species of wood-warblers (including Nashville, McGillivray’s, Hermit, and other spp.), hummingbird species, Black-headed Grosbeak, Western Tanager, Western Kingbird, etc. et al

2. Marin County Bird Blitz (Mt. Burdell, Point Reyes National Seashore spots, including Bear Valley/Woodpecker Trail/Earthquake Trail), 4/23/11, 9 am - 3 pm; target bird highlights include Lazuli Bunting, Grasshopper Sparrow, (regular on Mt. Burdell), Swainson’s Thrush, wood-warblers (including, McGillivray’s, Black-throated Gray, Hermit, and other spp.), hummingbird species, Black-headed Grosbeak, Western Tanager, Western Kingbird, etc. et al

3. Point Reyes Birding Festival, 4/30/11 (SOLD OUT), 8 am - noon, Tomales Bay State Park
